Riding in the car, watching a storm roll in while absently mindedly listening to npr.

Reminds me of when we went to London a few years ago. It was cheaper to fly out of Houston rather than Austin, so my dad, brother, and I drove to Houston and spent the night with my uncle before going to the airport. There isn't much out there between Austin and Houston, just a whole lotta land. I had the entire back seat to myself, so I stretched out across the leather seats and got comfortable with the pillows I'd brought along. My brother tinkered on his laptop or slept for most of the ride, my dad focused on the road, and I vaugely listened to npr while I watched the rain appear and disappear on the windshield as we wove in-between rain clouds.

Spotlight: Statement Necklaces

If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I love statement necklaces. The bigger, the flashier, the more obnoxious, the better. Most of my outfits are centered around jeans and a simple tee, so statement necklaces really take a basic look from "I just rolled outta bed" to "Oh hey, look at this flashy necklace, I have style" (example here). I get most of my necklaces from H&M or Forever 21, but there are plenty of online boutiques and Etsy shops where you can get some funky and unique pieces for a reasonable price.

I'm a Terrible Blogger

Oh hello internets, it is I, Toyosi, the worst blogger in the world. The one who claims to be determined to post at least twice a week, and then disappears for days with no notice. I could go on a full out vent, but that never makes anything better. All I'm gonna say is that I still like blogging, I'll post when I can, and a gold chain makes a boring and basic outfit 100x better.

Spotlight: Britt Bass

I'm all for abstract prints and fun colors, so when I stumbled across Britt Bass on Etsy, I fell in love. Her prints are bright and cheery, and would perk up any room. I love interior design, and when I eventually get a place of my own, I would love to have a gallery wall filled with prints like Britt's. I bet I could even try to DIY some artwork like hers. She also turns her prints into other nifty things like phone and iPad cases, notebooks, and even coasters. The Summer print and Limeade print are awesome, but the Navy Geo print will always be my favorite.
