Treat
Tuesday, May 6, 2014
With the recent style rut I've been in, I've been looking everywhere for outfit inspiration. I was introduced to Treat got the idea to make an outfit based on one of their cards. I was immediately drawn towards this one. I'm a sucker for black and white, and I've had this blazer sitting in my closet, unworn, for almost a year and I've been trying to figure out how to wear it. I'm kinda sorta really in love with how chic this outfit turned out. Adding a pop of color in the form of a blazer makes the outfit fun, but still keeps it pretty put together.
I have almost all the cards that anyone has ever given me, and Treat has a ton of cards that are perfect for giving! If you're like my Dad and I, and have yet to get anything for Mother's Day, you can choose a card and send it digitally, or order it by 2pm EST today to get it in time for Sunday.
Is it weird to get inspiration from a Mother's day card? Maybe. Did it work? Totally.

Spotlight: Boyfriend Jeans
Thursday, May 1, 2014
I know I'm the last person to hop on this bandwagon, but boyfriend jeans are starting to grow on me. I'm not sure how good they would look on my twig-like legs and nonexistent hips, but something about the light rinse, relaxed shape, and distressed patches is extremely appealing. Depending on your style, boyfriend jeans can be extremely versatile. You can pair them with a t-shirt and converse for a casual outing or add a pair of ankle booties, a necklace, a million some rings (because I am a style blogger after all) and BAM you're fancy.
Any piece of clothing that can go from netflixing on the couch to dinner downtown is a winner in my eyes.
